Posted by admin as Example papers
Terrorism has become quite a widespread phenomenon nowadays. Nearly every day we learn about new and new cases of terrorism all over the world which cause thousands of human deaths. Evidently, terrorism is a serious crime but very few people understand the reason and aim of these terroristic acts. Assassination is the murder of an official or public person, a celebrity which can seriously influence on the society. Deciphering the meaning of the word ‘terrorism’ we understand that it means ‘fear’ or ‘terror’, so it is the action which is aimed to terrify a certain definite group of people and the whole human society.
Naturally, terrorists and assassins cause problems because of the influence of different factors: psychological disorders, religious and cultural views, military and political purposes. To begin with, there is a category of terrorists who conduct a terroristic act just because they have certain psychological problems and they do not understand what they are doing. In fact this group of people is very small, as the majority of the terrorists and especially assassins do it on purpose. Assassination of an important person is quite a reasonable action from the point of view of politics and war, so this phenomenon is often applied in these spheres. Assassins are motivated with money and fame. It is obvious that someone pays an assassin for his job and furthermore, the assassin will be proud for the fame to be the murderer of a certain famous public figure.
The logic of terrorists is different, because they do not receive money after their death (the absolute number of terrorists dies during the act), so the motives are based on religious views. They believe that their deeds have sacred origin and that the consequences of the terroristic act will be praised by the individuals who share the same religious views and moral values. When the faith of a fanatic is very strong, he is able to do everything for the sake of his religion. Finally, the aim of terrorists is to place disorganisation into the society and show that the humanity is weak and nothing can protect it from the rapid unpredictable attacks of the terrorists.
In conclusion, the topic of the motives of terrorists and assassins does not have a single answer, because every crime is committed under the effect of the different factors.
